Couples

Therapy

Individual

Therapy

In couples therapy we focus on understanding relationship patterns, communication, conflict resolution, emotions, boundaries, attachment styles and sexual intimacy. I also work with neurodiverse couples (ADHD, Autism, Asperger). Couples will learn and practice techniques to achieve a healthy interpersonal relationship. If there have been ruptures in the relationship such as addictions, losses, in-laws, betrayals, and parenting issues we will work on those for your unique relationship and work towards healing. There usually is homework for couples, such as kissing, dating, talking and fun assignments. I am a creative therapist, so we work together for you to be a healthy loving couple.

Based on my specialized training, tools we will use are Gottman Method, Love Languages, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Boundaries, and Prepare and Enrich.

Grief

Therapy

Grief and loss are my passion and extensive training. Helping parents with infertility, infant loss, stillbirth and miscarriage. Currently, I co-facilitate an adult cancer support group for A Time to Heal. I have facilitated several adult grief groups, including bereaved parents and suicidal loss. We walk the grief journey together and I guide you to be with grief and the multitude of emotions. We also process how to incorporate rituals and navigate holidays while grieving. I provide many resources and tools to understanding grief.

We work collaboratively so you discover your healthiest relationship with yourself, using creative and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Individual therapy can address anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, stress, childhood hurts and/or abuse, and other mental health issues. I specialize in grief/loss, relationships, women's issues, life transitions, 12 step recovery (living with alcoholism/co-dependency), infertility, medical trauma, chronic illness, perinatal anxiety and depression and childhood issues. I include creative approaches of mindfulness, guided meditation, teach sitting meditation, visual imagery, art therapy and other interventions. Spirituality and Christianity interventions are available upon client request.
